Number Day 2022
NSPCC Number Day is a maths-inspired fundraising event where schools across the UK raise money for the NSPCC.
On February 4th 2022, children from Norton and West Chinnock took part in a number of maths activities and were encouraged to make a donation and wear an item of clothing with a number on it. The funds raised from Number Day will support vital NSPCC services such as 'Speak Out. Stay Safe', which visits primary schools across the UK to teach students all about the dangers of abuse and what they can do to help.
NSPCC Number Day is important for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it helps children to become aware of how they can seek support if they need it, such as contacting their Childline service. The funds raised also support the NSPCC and make sure that they're able to help as many children as possible.
This event is also a great chance to encourage children to enjoy maths and help them develop their skills in a fun, positive and motivational way.
Thank you to everyone for supporting this cause and well done on your number themed outfits!
