Parent Update
This week, a snapshot of learning from across the school:
Reception children have been enjoying the story Whatever Next by Jill Murphy and inspired by Baby Bear they have been wanting to build a rocket and get to the moon!
In Year 1 and 2, as part of their design work on Moving Objects, our budding young designers have been thinking about terminology such as wheel, axle and chassis and look forward to building moving creations soon.
In Year 3 and 4, our pupils are delving into an exciting unit of work called Rocks, Relics and Rumbles where they are learning about plate tectonics - more on this next week!
As Geographers in Year 5 & 6, pupils have been exploring their new project Frozen Kingdoms exploring the topography and climate in polar regions.
Our fabulous Music and Drama (MaD) Club were learning about the skills that performers need. They worked in pairs on a mirror activity, improving focus, concentration and following visual cues.
Finally, we look forward this week on Friday to an exciting opportunity for Year 5 & 6 to hear The Bristol Ensemble performing live at Norton Village Hall. Children will take part in the free workshop in the afternoon.
Wishing you all a good week. Mr Caswell
