• An update from Hazel Class
• Coffee Morning
Today our annual Snow Globe Competition is launched (please see the attached poster).
This term Hazel Class have been introduced to a book called ‘The Seed of Doubt’ during their English lessons. They have written about their dreams and aspirations for the future focusing on their dream job and setting. Looking to the future, Hazel class are dreaming of many different professions including a Doctor, Teacher, Vet, Designner, Tax Collector and many more!
In Maths, the year 2s have used number lines, hundred squares and dienes to add and subtract tens and ones. While year 3 and 4 have been practising using the column method to add and subtract. The children have used their mathematical language to explain their thinking to their maths buddies and the whole class. In Art, the children have been exploring Islamic Art. They have learnt about the star symbol and its importance, then designed and created their own geometric tile. They have had lots of fun with clay and painting their final piece.
Finally, please do join me at Chiselborough Village Hall this Wednesday morning for the Coffee and Catch Up - a chance to meet other parents, speak about what is happening at school and raise any questions/ concerns. If you are unable to attend, please do send you questions to the office via email. On the agenda this time - wraparound care, behaviour approaches and school lunches. A summary of notes from this event will be shared with all. Have a good week, Mr Caswell
