Weekly Update
Between the floods last week, we were treated to the fabulous Twinkly Nativity. A huge well done to pupils in Reception, Year 1 and 2 who told the story of the first Christmas with their great singing and confident performances all round. Thank you to staff, parents and volunteers who made this happen; providing costumes, helping rehearse lines and songs, setting the stage and lots more.
A huge thank you to the FONS for a wonderful evening with Santa and Mrs Claus at the Christmas Fair and for everyone that came and supported the event. Thank you for the continued support received from Bagnell Farm, Hamdon Beauty Barn, Katy's Tea Room, The Lord Nelson &The Prince of Wales for such wonderful raffle prizes.
Please do join us this week for the Christmas Service in the Church on Wednesday at 2pm. It’s a whole-school event and parents/carers are welcome.
To conclude this week, a few lines linked to our school value Community from poet Benjamin Zephaniah who sadly passed away last week:
People need people,
To walk to
To talk to
To cry and rely on,
People will always need people.
To love and to miss
To hug and to kiss,
It’s useful to have other people.
To whom to moan
If you’re all alone,
It’s so hard to share
When no one is there.
There’s not much to do
When there’s no one but you.
People will always need people.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas. Mr Caswell
