Weekly update
At Norton school, we encourage and support our children to be ‘courageous advocates’. This means they champion causes which are special and meaningful to them. These may be global issues or matters far more personal and closer to home. We believe this develops an understanding of the wider world and how they can help make it a better place, enabling our children to flourish. What better way to demonstrate this practically than the fundraising on Friday for Comic Relief (for vulnerable children and families in the UK) and the Disasters Emergency Committee (focused on the urgent support for the people of southern Turkey and north-west Syria).
A huge thank you to everyone in the school community not least volunteer Mr Naughton who brought a smile to our faces with fun filled comic activities.
In assembly this coming week, we are raising awareness of disabilities. This is to help support our children to become more aware of children and adults with additional needs and to treat them with respect and equality.
This Wednesday sees both the Easter service and the final cross country fixture of the season. We look forward to seeing you at these events.
Wishing you all a good week!
