Weekly update
It was a week to celebrate our love of reading at Norton school with Book Week which culminated in World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March. Events included the bake off, ‘rock up and read’ and exhibition of brilliant costumes of our favourite characters from books. A huge well done and thank you for rising to the challenge and continuing to raise the profile of reading in the school.
Pupils participated in netball on Tuesday representing the school brilliantly and achieving some good results. Thank you to the staff and parents who got them there and supported.
On Wednesday, cross country runners represented the school at Bucklers Mead and they ran with grit and determination. Our Year 2 and 3 girls team still occupies the top spot in the local league of all schools in the Yeovil area.
Parents’ evening is next week on Wednesday with appointments from 1.00-6.00pm. Please do book a slot to speak with your child’s class teacher.
