Weekly Update

Firstly, thank you for waiting until Friday for the update.  I am aiming to do the update at the end of the week to reflect on the week and look ahead to the next.

Thank you to our Year 5 and 6 pupils who were brilliant ambassadors for our school at the residential last week.  They took part in a range of activities from archery, rocket building, hiking, climbing and abseiling.  I was really impressed with their attitude in getting along with each other, respecting the staff at the centre and approaching all the activities with an open mind.  You will notice that our Year 6 are wearing their leavers’ hoodies.  The presentation of the hoodies at the campfire has become something of a tradition alongside songs, games and toasting marshmallows!

This week, you will have received a curriculum overview document for your child’s class setting out what children will be learning about across the curriculum.  There are some exciting projects to look forward to from Coastlines to Empires.  If you have any questions, please do get in touch.

Finally, it's the Headteacher's coffee morning next week on Wednesday this time held in Chiselborough village hall from 9am -10am.  Please do join me and parents from Norton and West Chinnock Schools.  If you are unable to attend but would like to bring something up for discussion, please do get in touch.  Have a restful weekend.  Mr Caswell
